Overview of Applications
This list of Applications gives an overview over all
productively used Applications together with the information about the product owner, responsible departments, developers etc. It is intended as starting point for getting information about Applications and for navigating to more detailed information an documentation.

From the F-DS-C-04e_User-Applications-v3.0 Specification Document
The functionallity described in the specification is seen as needed. Since these descriptions are taken from a specification document of the early design stage it might also be the case that the functionality is integrated into other applications or systems.
Beam Initialization Application
The Beam Initialization Application is a tool to initialize beam production chains and to define their attributes.
Offline Schedule Configuration
The Offline Schedule Configuration must provide functionality to define and alter beam scheduling and dispatching activities of the Timing Master. It interacts with the Beam Initialization Application and the Settings Management System.
Online Schedule Monitor
The Online Schedule Monitor must provide an online view of the timing master’s dispatching activities.
Setting and Trim Applications
Setting and Trim Applications must enable the operator to trim beam parameters and optimize the beam characteristics focusing a specific aspect of control (beam production chain and accelerator area), e.g. to optimize transmission for injection from SIS18 to SIS100.

Device Diagnostic and Device Control Application
The Device Diagnostic and Device Control Application must enable the operator to directly access devices in order to monitor and control device status and device properties.
For typical use cases of facility operation this application must not be used for trimming or setting beam parameters.

Beam Diagnostic Applications
Part of the User Applications is a set of applications which must monitor and analyze beam characteristics and parameters.
Beam Transmission Monitoring
The “Beam Transmission Application” must support online and offline display of beam transmission data in an integrated way.
Accelerator Overview on Fixed Displays
Applications like Online Schedule Monitor, Alarm Monitor Client, Interlock Monitor Client and status monitoring applications of the Personnel Safety Control System must be designed to be displayed on large fixed displays and be ready to be started in a non-interactive mode.
Alarm Application
The “Alarm Monitor and Management Application” as the central GUI-application for the alarm system must notify the operator and must manage current alarms.
This is now an In-Kind contribution from Cosylab . The intial version of the application will be provided by Cosylab.
Interlock Applications
The GUI part of the interlock system is represented by the “Static Interlock Status Overview” application. It must provide functionality to display and to manage interlocks in a central place. Detailed configuration of the interlock system itself shall be done in a different application the “Interlock Signal Pickup Configuration Application”.
Archiving Applications
The central GUI for the archiving system is the “Archiving Data Display Application” which must display and correlate data in a generic way. The “Archiving Configuration GUI Application” must allow the configuration of data collection and data reduction that will be performed by the archiving system.
This is now an In-Kind contribution from Cosylab . The intial version of the application will be provided by Cosylab.
Post Mortem Application
After an incident occurred in the machine and data has been collected from many services and devices the “Post Mortem Analysis Application” must allow displaying correlated measurement data of many devices to support detailed analysis of the incident.
Integration of the Cryogenic Control System
The Cryogenic Control System is designed to work independently from the accelerator control system. Nevertheless relevant parameters have to be monitored and integrated in accelerator operation applications.
Integration of the Vacuum Control System
The vacuum control system is designed to work independently from the accelerator control system. Nevertheless relevant parameters have to be monitored and integrated in accelerator operation applications.
Integration of the Personnel Safety System
The Personnel Safety Control System is designed to work independently from the operation of the accelerator control system. Nevertheless relevant parameters have to be monitored and integrated in accelerator operation applications.
Miscellaneous
Functionality must be provided to publish specific states and beam characteristics of accelerator facilities and beam production chains to the World Wide Web.
