Equip State

This application was originally developed at CERN and is part of the generic applications that are built on top of the LSA framework.

It is used to access the hardware equipment, executing read/write commands on it. Every command is linked to a set of associated device types on which it can be executed.

There are two types of commands:

• Property commands:
  • Generated out of the properties for the type of the selected device
  • Name convention: in camel case
  • Examples: Acquisition, Description
• Custom commands:
  • Written specifically for a device type
  • Name convention: in capital letters
