Gasper will develop a class using Fesa3 (spectrometer for the vacuum group). For this porpose the account fesauser@belpc055 is updated with the newest Fesa3 version.
The class generation inside Fesa3 has changed slightly:
compiling the class will generate library, not any more directly the binary
in a so called "deployUnit" (was "equipment" bevore) one can specify the nedded equipment classes and the deploy-type(split/unsplit)
The generated code from the "deployUnit.xml" can than be compiled to the binary.
To simply test a class, a deployUnit in class-space can be generated.
The CERN fesa group will provides tools to ensure security & reliability in a "class livecycle". If we are going to use exactly the same system for GSI will be decided later. Currently we dont know the GSI-Fair infrastructure (Database, agreed FEC-NFS-structure). We will have to wait for these structures bevor we can think about & implement a similar system. The proposal-document, designed by the Fesa-CERN team you will find attached.
User-accounts for Tobias, Gasper and Harald on belpc055 will be created (Only one user can work as "fesauser" there at the same time, so we can not stay like that)
Solveigh will be at CERN from 14.06 till 02.07. The purpose is to transfere the knowledge about the eclipse plugin from David to Solveigh and Julien(CERN) and answer all open questions. David will leave CERN by the end of this year.
