NFS Data

Embedded systems that need to persist data across reboots can access a nfs served data directory.

It is strongly encouraged to not use this service and migrate to a future configuration management system. Using NFS introduces a dependency on central services and limit system scalability.

Details

on the acc5 cluster /common/usr/export/data is exposed as a read-write NFS export to selected systems. Embedded systems should mount a folder /common/usr/export/data/$HOSTNAME to /opt/data. Any files created via NFS will be squased to the user fec and the group fecs. File modifications should happen through the embedded system.
