	The DeviceFactory is designed as a bridge pattern to allow sub-classing of the class interface (DeviceFactory) and the class implementation (this one) separately. This DeviceFactoryImp is the abstract-class that declares the interface to the underlying device-factory implementation (Shm, Heap).
