Kubernetes Limitations
kubernetes has some limitations. They result in our current setup, or policies or are builtin- total of about 2700 external services over all namespaces
- total of about 1500 pods
- service recovery on catastrophic node failure can take a minute even with optimized deployment sets (bgp timeouts)
- no persistent storage
- no external registry access (no dockerhub)
- accessible from aco and campus network. Not citrix, lx-pool, etc
- not high available (control plane, rbac)
- no on-call duty
