Integrate the git workflow into the SQLDeveloper

First you have to generate a new git repository or use an exiting repository

For this example I take a https-connection and this repository: https://git.acc.gsi.de/semuelle/SqlDeveloper.git
SQLDeveloper

Goto "Team->Git->clone" enter the git stuff and click through the menu. After this your are back to the normal view of the SQLDeveloper.

In the Background the program checksout the git repository into the folder [sqldeveloper]\mywork\[your repository]

To create a new sql file save the file in the same folder structure. The program opens the file and you click with the right mouse on the text-field and say "Versioning->add". Next click into the same "Versioning menu -> Pending Changes". After this a view opens where you can see your file which you added just before. After this commit the file and a insert a commit messange into the popup window.

The last step is to push the file into the remote git. For this step you have to open again the "versioning menu" and click on push and go through the menu.
